Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has distributed no fewer than 101 electric scooters to party youth and women leaders, as well as ward youth leaders across his constituency.
The initiative forms part of the senator’s empowerment programme aimed at uplifting grassroots stakeholders, improving mobility, and promoting sustainable transportation within communities.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the State APC Financial Secretary, Nasiru Italy, described the gesture as a deliberate effort that underscores Wamakko’s commitment to inclusive leadership and grassroots development.

He said the distribution reflects the senator’s resolve to carry party stakeholders along in governance and ensure broader participation in development initiatives.
Italy also urged party members, supporters, and residents of the state to continue backing the administration of Governor Aliyu Sokoto to sustain the delivery of democratic dividends.
“I am making this appeal and soliciting your continued support for this APC government in the state,” he said.
