Gambian actress Princess Shyngle has sparked conversation on social media, advising women in marriages or relationships to feel ashamed if they ask for financial assistance.

Speaking on Instagram, Shyngle insisted that women in committed relationships should not face financial difficulties, as their partners are expected to provide for them.

She expressed frustration over receiving direct messages from women seeking money, noting that many of them are already married or in relationships. "What are your partners doing for you?" she questioned.

Shyngle contrasted this with single women, whom she said genuinely struggle and work hard every day without the support of a partner, highlighting the distinct challenges faced by those navigating life alone.

She said, "Struggling is meant for single women only.  If you are married, engaged, you have  boyfriend or a man in your life that both of you claim each other, that word, struggling, should not exist in your vocabulary.

"Majority of the people that beg me for money on social media are either married women or women with a man. Are you not ashamed of yourself? You are coming to beg single women? And you people will still go online and say ‘Go and find a husband, nobody wants to marry you!’

"You carry marriage and man for head like world cup  and now you are on a single girl's DM, begging them for money. Struggling is for single women like us

"We are single, we are struggling, grinding everyday, Some of us have not had s#x in months and in years. We don't have a man to warm our beds.

"We don't have no man to turn to. You can't have a man in your life, knacking him everyday constantly, be stay on your lane''.

She added, "If you're a woman and have a man in your life, please stay away from my DM begging me for money. How can you have a man and be out here begging a a single woman, ain't you ashamed?"
