The organization said the road show sensitization was to show its dedication to promoting access to quality and affordable healthcare services and products.

Members of the team visited markets, workshops, and motor parks to engage residents and explained why regular check-ups are important.

Free vital checks were also provided at Med-Vical Hospital's premises in GRA, Benin City.

"We celebrate the importance of health and the role of healthcare workers in enhancing population health," they said.

Dr. Juliet Evbayehor, the Assistant Secretary General of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, who participated in the event, emphasized the necessity of understanding one's health status.

She explained that the health talk organized by Med-Vical International aims to empower the public with essential information for routine health checks and disease prevention.

"Our goal is to raise awareness about health and encourage people to undergo routine check-ups, which are crucial for early disease detection and prevention. We are particularly advising individuals over the age of 40 to prioritise their health screenings."

World Health Day is observed annually on April 7th. The theme for this year's celebration is "Together for Health. Stand with Science."

Med-Vical International stands in solidarity with science and public health in building a healthier society.
