The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has urged his supporters in Plateau State to support Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
He appealed to them to note that he and the governor were firmly in the same camp, working in the interest of the state.
Speaking at the COCIN Church Headquarters, Prof. Yilwatda affirmed that he never at any time had a personal beef with the governor.

He explained that their past issues were solely because of membership of different political camps.
The APC national chairman, who was received with ovation by the congregation on Sunday, also sought prayers as he runs what he called the biggest political party in Africa.

“Today, I want to also thank God for two reasons. We’ve united with my brother (Governor Caleb Mutfwang) in the same party, and we will provide the best we can. By the grace of God and with your support, we will ensure that Plateau actually gets what it deserves at the national and state levels.
“We never had any personal problem and we never had any personal grudges. What we had was a political difference. We’ve closed those gaps, and we’re working together to ensure that we provide peace for our people, provide development for our people, and provide support for our people at any needed time.

“He’s aware I’m here, and I’m also aware of where he is. We have a strong partnership. So, I’m calling upon anybody who is hearing my voice: If you have any political difference with Mutfwang because of me or for any reason, please, let bygones be bygones and let peace reign supreme in our state.”
Yilwatda added: “Lastly, I thank you also for your prayers. I’m holding and running the biggest party ever in the history of Nigeria. Every day, people are streaming into the party.
“We are running our own congresses. We are having the most peaceful congress ever in the history of our party. This is not my strength; it is not my wisdom, but it is the grace of God and the prayers of people like you, who daily pray for me, for grace and wisdom to run the party and to also manage the country effectively. Thank you and God bless you.”
The Sunday declaration followed the recent endorsement of the governor for a second term by Prof. Yilwatda during Mutfwang’s defection to the APC.
