The Chairman of Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Jubril Yisa, has charged newly appointees to discharge their duties in line with the law of Lagos state and in the interest of the people of Iba.
The council chair stated this during the swearing-in of members of his cabinet including Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) at the Council Secretariat.
The oath of office was administered by the Legal Officer of the Council, Akeem Uthman.

Yisa told the appointees that the role they were assuming is crucial.
“As SLG, Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers, you form an integral part of the Executive Council. You are to assist the Chairman in translating the collective vision of the local government into tangible results that impact lives and communities. Your duty is not just to occupy an office, but to drive the process of governance closer to the people - ensuring that every project, every decision, and every policy reflects the needs and aspirations of those served.”

Lagos State Commissioner for Tertiary Institution, Tolani Sule, congratulated the newly inaugurated Executive Council members, reminding them to be 100 percent loyal to the Chairman and to maintain confidentiality. He congratulated the people of Iba, assuring them of a better phase, and prayed for the growth of Iba LCDA and Lagos State at large.
In a goodwill message, Akintunde Lawal, appreciated the chairman and acknowledged the support of his team.

The council’s party chairman, Jamiu Oyefolu, congratulated the newly inaugurated council members and urged them to be of good conduct in their respective offices.
He expressed his satisfaction towards the leadership of the council.
The SLG, Taiwo Adekambi, thanked Yisa for the privilege and honour given to them, assuring him of their loyalty
“Our coming in is to serve the government and we pledge not to disappoint, together we shall succeed and together we shall take Iba LCDA to the next level,” he said.
