As All Progressives Congress prepares for its National Convention tomorrow and Saturday in Eagle Square, stakeholders have begun rallying for key party positions ahead of the exercise.

National Youth Leader of APC in South Africa, Seyanu Akinsola, has called for re-election of the party’s National Secretary, Ajibola Bashiru, citing need for continuity, competence and stability in the party’s administrative structure.

Akinsola, in a statement, urged party leaders to support Bashiru’s return.

He said the former Senate spokesperson is a seasoned lawyer whose tenure has been marked by professionalism, efficiency and commitment to growth of APC.

According to him, Bashiru has demonstrated strong qualities through effective coordination of party activities, strategic communication and a firm grasp of national issues.

“At this critical stage in the party’s evolution, stability in the secretariat is essential. His leadership has strengthened internal processes and improved efficiency,” he said.

He added that Bashiru’s experience and understanding of party structures make him best suited to sustain the momentum.

The youth leader stressed that the convention presents an opportunity for the party to consolidate its gains rather than experiment with new leadership.

He urged delegates and party faithful in Nigeria and diaspora to support his re-election, noting his record reflects capacity, loyalty and vision.
