Education and youths remain pivotal to nation- building and development. However, it is fitting to encourage and motivate youths who see education and quality learning as pathways to socio-economic advancement. But if youths are not encouraged, it is a dampener on their psyche and their potential may not be realised.

This informs the appeal to   Barr. Seyi Tinubu on his assurance towards the fulfilment of the long-overdue  inauguration of the  “Tinubu Students’ Square” on the main  campus of Lagos State University (LASU) Ojo. The project is beyond a statue— it is a symbolic edifice, a remarkable work of art, this is the first time such will be done in the whole country, recognising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s profound contributions to the education sector  as a visionary leader committed to quality education from time  immemorial.

The symbolism of the project

President Tinubu’s bust— this signifies Asiwaju’s incomparable and undeniable intellectual capacity.

The  lions— they symbolise him as a hero whose noble achievements transcend borders.

The two eagles— these  represent Asiwaju’s strength and resilience.

The water fountain — this reflects Asiwaju’s flowing knowledge.

Mama Abibatu Mogaji’s portrait— the portrait of the president’s mother not only shows how precious he was to Alhaja when she was alive, but also her unstinting support for the president in years preceding her death.

“At the commencement of the project, I was mocked that the project will be ignored, being among the youths that stood with him even before he contested his election, many that mocked me then are already doing their PHD   in their own house; while some are abroad against all odds, i never gave up on the project for President Tinubu.”

On this project, after facing both academic and life challenges after four years of graduating without going for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps programme, I hope Barr. Seyi Tinubu will graciously mobilise for  the long-overdue inauguration of the project, while appreciating your remarkable contributions to nation-building and development. Seyi Tinubu will be great and Asiwaju Tinubu will succeed and take Nigeria to enviable heights.
