From Fanen Ihyongo, Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has congratulated the newly-elected APC Northwest zonal executive officers.

The governor led a high-powered delegation to the APC Northwest Zonal Congress in Kaduna, where he emphasised the importance of party unity and inclusive leadership.

The congress, which brought together party leaders and delegates from across the Northwest region, saw the election of zonal officials and discussions on strategies for next year's general election.

According to a statement signed by the governor's spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the delegation included elected representatives, political appointees, party executives, and other key stakeholders

The Kano delegation highlighted the State's significant presence and role within the party.

"Governor Yusuf's participation underscores his administration's commitment to fostering party unity, strengthening internal democracy, and promoting inclusive leadership within the APC," the statement said.

Yusuf stressed the need for peaceful, transparent, and credible intra-party processes, describing them as vital to the party's growth, stability, and long-term success.

The congress provided a platform for delegates to formulate strategies aimed at consolidating the APC's electoral strength ahead of future elections.

The newly elected APC North-West Zonal leadership was unanimously ratified, reflecting unity and consensus within the party.

The outcome of the congress sets the stage for the party's forthcoming National Convention, scheduled to hold on Saturday in Abuja.

The Kano delegation reaffirmed its loyalty to the party and pledged continued support towards strengthening its structures at all levels.
