According to Olagunju, 64 beneficiaries received medical support totaling N85.08 million to address critical healthcare needs. In addition, 67 students were awarded educational support worth N19.55 million to aid their academic pursuits.
He added that within the last two months, the foundation had also distributed food packs and cash support valued at N105 million to over 30,000 poor and vulnerable households.
“Including today’s intervention, the foundation has disbursed a cumulative N209.63 million across its programmes in recent weeks, reaching thousands of beneficiaries and reinforcing our commitment to social welfare,” he said.
Describing the initiative as more than just a ceremony, the ED/CEO noted that the intervention reflects the values of compassion, responsibility, and solidarity inherent in zakat and sadaqat.
He stressed that access to quality healthcare and education remains vital to human dignity and societal progress, adding that the Foundation’s efforts aim to ease financial burdens while empowering beneficiaries for a better future.
