The Zamfara State Government has commended security agencies for what it described as a breakthrough in the ongoing fight against insecurity, following a recent operation that reportedly led to the neutralisation of about 100 bandits.

The State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, disclosed this in a statement praising the efforts of security personnel operating in the state.

He said the development reflects renewed commitment, courage, and professionalism among security forces, noting their continued sacrifices in protecting communities and restoring stability across the state.

According to him, the success marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and curb banditry, which has affected several parts of Zamfara. He stressed the need to sustain the momentum to achieve lasting peace.

Dantawasa urged security operatives to remain vigilant and resolute, assuring them of the state government’s continued moral and logistical support. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Federal Government and other critical security stakeholders.

The government further called on residents to support security agencies through cooperation, timely intelligence sharing, and community vigilance, while also encouraging prayers for sustained peace, unity, and economic development.

It expressed optimism that with coordinated efforts and sustained commitment, insecurity in the state would be effectively addressed.
