The David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has congratulated newly elected state executives and chairmen across the country following the conclusion of its state congresses.

In a statement issued by the party’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described the congresses as peaceful and conducted in accordance with its constitution and relevant legal provisions.

“These elections, carried out in line with the provisions of the law and the party’s constitution, reflect the ADC’s enduring commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and the rule of law,” Abdullahi stated.

The party commended members and stakeholders for their orderly conduct throughout the process, noting that participants demonstrated maturity, discipline, and a shared commitment to the party’s objectives.

According to the statement, the inauguration of the newly elected officials is scheduled for May 12, 2026, although the National Working Committee may communicate any adjustments if necessary.

“The task ahead requires unity, discipline, and a continued commitment to building a strong, credible alternative for the Nigerian people,” Abdullahi said.

The ADC expressed confidence that the new leadership at the state level would strengthen its structures and expand its engagement with citizens nationwide.
