Ahead of the 2027 general elections, clergy across the Ughelli division, including General Overseers, Archbishops, Bishops, reverends, and pastors from different Christian denominations across Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency, have endorsed the Publicity Secretary of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Dr. Ominimini Obiuwevbi, for the House of Representatives.

Led by Bishop Billion Djanere and Bishop Dr. Harriton, the clergy came together yesterday at his Ughelli residence to formally endorse him to run for the seat of Ughelli/Udu Federal House of Representatives in 2027

Speaking during the event, Bishop Dr. Harriton Akpodiete of the Ark of Faith Fulfillment Assembly, Ughelli, asserted that Chief Ominimini is a compassionate man with a listening ear, adding that he has excellent educational qualifications and legislative experience to represent the good people of Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly (NASS).

Bishop Akpodiete noted that Chief Ominimini has been advocating for the development of the Urhobo Nation and the creation of Urhobo State, which can only be achieved in the National Assembly.

Bishop Billion Djanere, on his part, emphasised the benefits of having Dr. Ominimini at NASS, judging by his remarkable achievements as the speaker of the Ughelli North Legislative Arm and DESOPADEC Commissioner.

He charged the clergymen to go back to their respective congregations to preach the message of Ominimini for the House of Reps.

The high point of the event was the unanimous endorsement of Ominimini with the promise to mobilise other Christian faithful across the federal constituency.

Those in attendance include: Bishop Billion Djanere, Bishop Dr. Harriton Akpodiete, Prelate Prof. D. Joshua, Bishop Prof. E. O Ugheni, Bishop Dr. J. E Obahor, Bishop Mathew Orubu, Bishop Dr. E. I.
