A group of professionals, under the aegis of the Democratic Front, has called on the people of Surulere, Lagos, to support the aspiration of Dr Alli Sanusi Ayodeji, who has indicated interest in representing Surulere Constituency II, at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Ayode had earlier served as Supervisory Councilor for Works and later as Senior Special Assistant on Works, Health, and Special Projects  between 2017 and 2021 in Coker-Aguda LCDA, Lagos.

According to the group, in an era where public trust in leadership is often tested, Ayode was described as an individual whose career is built on service, structure, and measurable impact, and qualified to represent Surulere Constituency II at the Lagos Assembly.

“With over two decades of experience spanning clinical medicine, hospital administration, and grassroots governance, Ayodeji's journey reflects a consistent pattern: solving real problems within real communities.

“A trained physician who earned his MBBS from the University of Lagos in 2000, Ayodeji has steadily built a career that bridges healthcare delivery and public administration.

“His professional evolution has seen him combine medical expertise with strategic management, earning an MBA from Babcock University and a Master's degree in Health and Global Environment from the University of Salford, United Kingdom.”

The group insisted that it decided to support the former Chief Medical Officer at General Hospital Agbowa and later General Hospital Ikorodu, because of the reforms he brought to the two institutions, which led to “the improved patient flow systems, strengthened infection control protocols, and introduced more accountable procurement processes. Managing teams of over 150 personnel, he focused on operational efficiency while maintaining patient-centred care.”
