…says ‘losing is not in our dictionary’

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State that he will be rallying all members to win elections come 2027, both in the state and at the national level.

The governor, giving the assurance during a stakeholders’ meeting in Yola on Monday, said, "What we are focused on is winning the election. Losing is not in our dictionary."

Fintiri appealed to everyone in the party to pool their goodwill and resources and agree to work together as one for the success of the party.

He stressed that as leader of the party in the state, he would be working hard with all concerned to see that the APC produces the governor in Adamawa State and President Bola Tinubu returned to power at the federal level.

Fintiri, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside his political structure and government machinery last week, appealed to both new entrants and older members of the party to work as one in the task of improving the successes of the party at the polls.

He commended President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for supporting what he described as a seamless defection process.

Also speaking, the APC National Vice Chairman (North-East), Comrade Mustafa Salihu, commended the governor for moving his structures into the APC.

The Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar, expressed confidence that Adamawa has the capacity to deliver victory for the APC in future elections.

The State APC Chairman, Barrister Idris Shuaibu, appreciated Governor Fintiri and the other members of the PDP who defected into the APC with him, particularly the former PDP state Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Bello.

In a goodwill message, Hamza Bello announced that the PDP structure in the state had been fully integrated into the APC, including executives from the state, local government, and ward levels.
