A leading aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Prince Laja Adeoye, has commented on recent endorsements of Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Adeoye said the development reflects internal political positioning within the ruling party and urged a focus on governance priorities that address the needs of residents.
He said political activities and alignments ahead of future elections should be anchored on service delivery, accountability, and improved living conditions for Lagosians.
According to him, attention should be directed toward addressing key challenges in the state, including traffic management, flooding, housing, healthcare, and rising cost of living.
Adeoye, who has been active in the opposition political space in the state, called for greater inclusion and responsiveness in governance, noting that citizens expect improved infrastructure and social services.
He added that political competition should ultimately centre on ideas and policies that advance the development of Lagos State.
