...launches unit to unit campaign group

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Sunday, declared that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 is non-negotiable, noting that the administration’s giant strides across critical sectors of the nation will earn the president a return to office.

Tunji-Ojo stated this at the inauguration of a support group, BTO – Unit to Unit for Tinubu’s re-election, held in Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.

Represented by the Chairman of the group in Akoko South West/East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiodun Ogunbi, the minister called for intensified grassroots mobilisation to sustain the momentum of the current administration especially as the general elections draw nearer.

He noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu-led government had recorded appreciable gains in the economy, education, infrastructure, and Nigeria’s global standing.

According to him, members of the support group must work diligently at the unit, ward and local government levels to guarantee a resounding victory for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.

"So, you are to take the campaign to the grassroots and ensure overwhelming support for the President. Your mandate also includes identifying challenges at the unit level and providing necessary solutions," he said.

Tunji-Ojo further also urged support for the return of incumbent federal lawmaker, Hon Gboyega Adefarati to the National Assembly.

Earlier in his address, Hon Ogunbi lauded the minister for his steadfast commitment to the administration, describing him as a rallying force for grassroots support in Ondo State.

He also applauded Tunji-Ojo’s performance at the Ministry of Interior, noting that it has helped to strengthen the public image of the government.
