Arrangements have reached an advanced stage for the 2026 edition of the African Iconic Women Recognition Awards (AIWRA), scheduled to hold at the five-star Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The awards, organised by Fajag Concept, owners of Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN), celebrate women across Africa who have continued to break barriers, challenge the status quo and achieve remarkable success in their respective professions.
The 15th edition, themed “Elevate at 15th,” is expected to bring together distinguished personalities, policymakers, entrepreneurs and development advocates from across the continent.

The choice of Transcorp Hilton Abuja, known for hosting high-profile events and international conferences, reflects the growing prestige and influence of the awards platform.
Over the years, the hotel has partnered with Face of Democracy Nigeria to deliver memorable editions of the event, providing a secure and serene environment for guests and international delegates, alongside world-class hospitality services.
In a statement, the Founder and Chairman of Fajag Concept, Olufunsho Alexander Olumuyiwa Ajagbonna, expressed confidence that the 2026 edition would surpass previous milestones.

Among those expected to be honoured at the event are Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu; Namibia’s President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah; Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama; and the First Lady of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, alongside other distinguished women leaders across Africa.
The organisers said AIWRA 2026 will not only celebrate excellence but also deepen discussions on leadership, inclusion and the transformative role of women in Africa’s development.
