Former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong led Al-Ahli Doha to a confident 3–1 win over Al-Hussein Irbid and thus set a AFC Champions League Two semi-finals clash with Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia.
The quarter-final, played on Sunday, at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai, saw Al-Ahli take early control when Erik Expósito struck in the 2nd minute. Al-Hussein responded through Yousef Qashi in the 21st minute to level the score.
Al-Ahli regained the lead in the 65th minute when Julian Draxler scored directly from a corner, before Michel Vlap sealed victory with a stoppage-time penalty in the 97th minute.

That result set up a high-profile semi-final clash against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr tomorrow at Zabeel Multi-purpose stadium in Dubai.
Troost-Ekong again is expected to captain Al-Ahli in the semi-final, marshalling the defence as they face the attacking threat led by Ronaldo.
