The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA), Femi Adekanmbi, has congratulated Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as he marks the first anniversary of his administration in office.

In a statement in Benin, Edo State capital, yesterday, Adekanmbi described Governor Aiyedatiwa as a humble, people-oriented leader and a pride of the state, who had demonstrated exemplary standard of good governance within the past year.

The former commissioner emphasised the governor’s focused and visionary leadership under the “Our Ease” agenda, which had prioritised inclusive development across critical sectors.

He noted that in just 12 months, the administration had recorded tangible achievements, including the completion and inauguration of road projects spanning the three senatorial districts, from Akure to Okitipupa, Ore to Owo, improving connectivity, easing transportation challenges and boosting economic activities in rural and urban communities.

The BORBDA boss also commended progress in education, where over 2,100 teachers have been recruited, WAEC fees paid for thousands of students, and school infrastructure upgraded through renovation schemes and promotion of digital education.

In health care, primary health centres have been renovated, while interventions in water supply such as borehole constructions, dam rehabilitations and major water schemes have enhanced access to clean water for residents.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain further praised efforts in agriculture, where farmers have been empowered, small businesses supported and security strengthened to create a safer environment for growth.

“These visible milestones reflect Governor Aiyedatiwa’s dedication to purposeful governance, equity and shared prosperity. His steady hand and clear vision have placed Ondo State on the path of progress, making it a model of steady results and people-centred leadership.”

Adekanmbi hoped Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration would build on ‘’this strong foundation to deliver even greater dividends in the years ahead.’’

He prayed for continued wisdom, good health and divine guidance for Governor Aiyedatiwa as he steers the state toward greater prosperity, urging residents to rally behind his initiatives for a more vibrant and inclusive Ondo State.
