Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi has expressed his excitement after returning to competitive action following nearly two months on the sidelines due to injury.

The towering centre-back recently made his comeback for Hull City in their Championship clash against Millwall, marking an important step in his recovery process.

Ajayi, who has been steadily working his way back to full match fitness, said he is pleased with the progress he has made after completing his second full game since returning.

“I am feeling really good,” Ajayi said. “It was my second 90 minutes, so I am getting back into the full swing of things and looking forward to pushing for the rest of the season.”

The former West Bromwich Albion defender was again involved when Hull City faced his former club on Sunday, continuing his journey toward full match sharpness.

Ajayi’s return will be welcomed not only by Hull City but also by the Nigeria national football team, as the experienced defender hopes to maintain his fitness ahead of upcoming international engagements.
