The Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has said the council’s 2026 fiscal plan is designed to restore dignity to governance at the grassroots and reposition the local government for sustainable development.
The chairman explained that the budget, tagged “Budget of Restoration and Renewed Progress,” was built around the need to rebuild public trust and improve service delivery across all wards in Alimosho.
According to him, the administration is determined to restore the dignity of governance by strengthening transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in the management of public resources.

He noted that critical infrastructure affecting daily life would receive priority attention, alongside efforts to revive economic opportunities for youths, women, and artisans within the local government area.
Akinpelu added that restoring community confidence in government remains central to the council’s agenda, stressing that governance should be people-focused, equitable, and measurable in impact.
“Beyond restoration, we aim to renew progress that is sustainable and touches every ward, every household, and every demographic in Alimosho,” he said.
The chairman called on stakeholders and council officials to work collectively toward leaving Alimosho better than they met it, emphasising unity of purpose and commitment to excellence in implementing the 2026 budget.
The retreat concluded with a pledge by participants to uphold fiscal discipline and ensure effective execution of projects and programmes that will improve the quality of life for residents.
