Many who have listened to the new single ‘Sisi Acada’ by ace drummer, guitarist and music producer, Anozie Ikemba, have considered it a big hit at first hearing.
This is because the pulsating Afro highlife beat accompanying a mellow voice singing in Yoruba, all recorded at agreeable tones and levels, seems to make the single very ear-friendly.
The new single by Ikemba is produced by one of Nigeria's talented and celebrated music production exports, Femi Ojetunde.

Ikemba notes that ‘Sisi Acada’ is a historical song, composed decades ago during his student years at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, where he got encouragement from Prof Femi Osofisan.
Former students of that era fondly remember him for singing ‘Sisi Acada’ with his acoustic guitar at the Tuck Shop around the drama theatre in UI.
After his UI years, he roamed around the arts and music circles in Nigeria, playing for different bands before his relocation first to South Africa and later to the US.
Soon after his arrival in the US, Ikemba made a song for the city of his residence, Bangor, Maine. The song is currently seen as a community theme song, making him very popular.
His immediate plans are to make more songs to make an EP for release.
