Despite the disappointment of Wolves 3–1 Premier League home defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare admitted he found some joy in scoring with his family watching on at Molineux Stadium.
Chelsea were inspired by a first-half hat-trick from Cole Palmer, while Arokodare’s 54th-minute strike proved to be only a consolation for relegation-threatened Wolves. The goal was his second league strike in 21 appearances during a difficult campaign for the Midlands side.
The defeat marked Wolves’ 19th loss of the season, leaving them 18 points adrift of safety with just 13 matches remaining.

For the first time since completing his summer move from Belgian side Genk, Arokodare had his family in attendance in England. Despite the result, the Nigerian forward took comfort in finding the net against a top opponent in front of his loved ones.
“Tough loss. But happy to score in front of my family at their first ever game in the UK. Thank you, Lord,” Arokodare posted on his Snapchat story.
It has been a challenging season for the Nigeria international, who has spent much of his time coming off the bench as Wolves struggle for goals. The club has managed just one win from 25 league matches so far.
