The third edition of the Dynamic Athletics Meet has been officially scheduled for July 4, 2026, and is now listed on the World Athletics calendar.

Organised by Dynamic Athletics Media and Sports Management Ltd, under the leadership of Olabanji Ayegbusi, the competition continues to grow in stature with increasing support from stakeholders.

Former athletes, experienced coaches, corporate organisations, and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria have all backed the event over time.

The meet comes at a crucial period, just weeks before the 2026 Commonwealth Games (July 23 to August 2). It is expected to serve as a key preparation platform for elite athletes, while also offering home-based talents the chance to improve their performances and gain wider exposure.

Ayegbusi has called for greater support to further elevate the competition, noting that previous editions attracted participants from countries such as Benin Republic and Côte d’Ivoire.

He stressed that with stronger backing, the meet can become one of the leading athletics competitions in West Africa, providing a consistent platform for athletes to showcase their abilities.

The event will take place at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex, a venue known for producing top performances. More details on registration and event activities are expected to be announced soon.
