Reality TV star Angel Smith has publicly reaffirmed her queer identity following reports of her wedding to partner Tumininu in the United States.
In a statement on X, Smith emphasised her openness about her sexuality, saying, "And I have been openly queer before and after I went for that show, please never attribute my greatness to a man, he could never have made me this cool, thangyaaaaa.
"I had a whole podcast where I spoke to a trans woman, but somehow you guys want to be shocked, okay, let me set the record straight, I love lesbians, I love gay men, I love trans women and trans men, non-binary, and I have a spine, die if you must".
The couple's intimate wedding ceremony, held in the U.S., featured an all-black theme and was attended by close friends and family.
Smith and Tumininu made their relationship public in 2025 and reportedly held a civil ceremony earlier this year.

Smith's announcement has sparked intense debate on Nigerian social media, with opinions divided over her sexuality, public declaration, and celebrity influence.
Before her current relationship, Angel was romantically involved with fellow reality TV star Soma Anyama, whom she met during the BBNaija All Stars edition in 2023.
The pair's relationship ended in early 2024, and Angel publicly expressed frustration over the intense media scrutiny surrounding their breakup.
