BetPawa has extended its intervention in the Nigeria National League (NNL) beyond cash bonuses, donating kits to participating clubs as the season enters its decisive stages.

The gaming brand has disbursed more than ₦226 million to players through its Locker Room Bonus scheme, under which players receive ₦56,000 after every league win. The kit donation adds a fresh dimension to an arrangement NNL Chairman George Aluo described as unprecedented.

"Players in other leagues in this country are now envying what is happening in NNL," Aluo said. "I don't know of many players out there who earn ₦56,000 after winning a league match."

BetPawa's Head of Local Marketing and CSR, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, said the donation fulfilled a pledge made when the sponsorship launched.

"Until now, we have disbursed more than 226 million naira to players," she said. "Today we are going to donate kits — to just show that we are really here to support them, not only by rewarding but also even other things that are needed by the clubs."

The kits — jerseys and warm-up gear — come as clubs compete with renewed intensity, buoyed by improved welfare structures under the Locker Room Bonus arrangement. Payments under the scheme are processed almost instantly after matches.

Aluo added that betPawa's support had also given the league the financial confidence to schedule its end-of-season Super 4 tournament without delay.

"I can tell you that it can only get better," he said. "BetPawa is here to really do what corporate bodies should do for African football and African sports."
