The soothing rhythms of Afro Soul are set to take centre stage this Valentine’s season as fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Big Chinni, prepares to release two new love-themed singles.

The project, titled “Double Love Dose,” is scheduled for release on February 13. It features two tracks, “Baby Yo,” produced by Kristunez, and “Ololufe,” produced by Tbarz, both crafted to highlight the beauty and depth of love in its various forms.

The dual release reflects Big Chinni’s evolving artistry and her commitment to promoting love beyond romantic relationships, extending it to family members, friendships, and social bonds.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the project, the singer explained that the songs are intentionally designed to remind listeners about the universal nature of love and its role in strengthening human relationships.

“These songs are my way of preaching love, not just intimate love but love that extends to everyone around us,” she said.

According to the artiste, the decision to release the singles a day before Valentine’s Day was deliberate, as the period naturally amplifies emotional connections and offers a fitting atmosphere to spread messages centred on affection, unity, and compassion.

She noted that love remains one of the strongest themes in global and Nigerian music, stressing that the emotion continues to resonate with audiences regardless of changing musical trends.

“Love has and will always have a place because it is not seasonal. It connects people, especially Nigerians, and makes music relatable,” she added.

The upcoming singles are expected to further showcase Big Chinni’s signature Afro Soul and Afro RnB fusion — a sound widely recognised for blending heartfelt storytelling with contemporary African rhythms.

Signed to Bankerz Musik, Big Chinni has steadily built momentum within the music industry, positioning herself as one of the emerging female voices contributing to the evolving Afro Soul movement.

She explained that her musical expression is heavily influenced by real-life emotions and personal experiences, which she translates into melodies aimed at creating strong emotional connections with listeners.

The artiste added that the new project reflects her desire to use music as a medium for promoting positivity, emotional freedom, and social harmony.

Industry observers believe the Valentine-themed release could further expand Big Chinni’s growing fan base while introducing her sound to a broader audience across the Afro music space.

With anticipation building ahead of the release date, music lovers are expected to experience a blend of soulful expression and culturally rooted sound that reflects the artiste’s unique musical identity.
