Christopher University, Mowe, Ogun State, has matriculated 184 students for the year 2025/2026 academic session across its Schools of Allied Health, Sciences, Business Studies, Law, Technology, and Social Sciences.

The ceremony was held at the Chinua Achebe Auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor, Prof.  Oyelana Olatunji, cautioned the students against drug abuse and cultism.

Oyelana stated that the school has zero tolerance for drug abuse and related crimes, adding that some students are suspended for breaking rules, while others are expelled for engaging in drug-related offences.

He advised them to remain focused on their dreams, make the right choices, associate with positive peers, and regularly self-evaluate to stay on track for academic success.

He further noted that a long-term focus on their dreams and aspirations would enable them to overcome challenges.

The don urged them to make the right choices, take the right decisions, associate with the right people, build the right attitude, project the right spirit, and indicate the right value.

He said the institution is committed to producing graduates who are focused, God-fearing, and maintain a high standard in their respective careers.

He listed six programs—accounting, economics, psychology, computer science, business administration, and mass communication—saying the postgraduate programme will commence in September.

The university's founder, Dr. Christopher Ezeh, emphasized self-discipline as the foundation of success.

He said that as teenagers, they are prone to a lot of distractions, especially in this world of technology and a westernized lifestyle, stressing that a lot of self-discipline will help them not to get carried away on campus.

Represented by the Bursar, Mr. Francis Ezeh, he warned the students against distractions and encouraged them to balance academic, social, and spiritual aspects of university life.

He further said university education is not restrictive, but aimed at producing an integrated personality, competent and confident enough to function in a civilized society.

Present at the ceremony were members of the management and staff in the university, including the Head of Matriculation Monitoring Unit of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Mrs Ibiwoye Kafayat.
