The Coalition of Youth Leaders for One Nigeria (COYLON) has thrown its weight behind the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd), describing calls for his removal as “reckless, misguided and divisive.”

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday and signed by the coalition’s National President, Comrade Isaac Owoicho, and Vice President, Dr. Kennedy West, the group expressed “unwavering support and full confidence” in the Defence Minister, noting that his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a strategic move to strengthen Nigeria’s security framework.

COYLON said General Musa, a former Chief of Defence Staff, built a distinguished military career marked by professionalism, discipline and operational expertise in tackling insurgency and terrorism.

It added that his leadership remains pivotal to ongoing efforts to protect Nigeria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
