Managing Director, Coleman Technical Industries Limited, Mr. George Onafowokan, has credited the company’s workforce for its 50-year success, pledging continued commitment to employee welfare.
Onafowokan made this known during the celebration of Workers’ Day, where the company showcased its achievements over five decades, attributing its growth to the dedication and hard work of its staff.
According to him, Coleman’s golden jubilee would not have been possible without the contributions of its workers.
“Coleman at 50 has been made possible by all the workers who worked tirelessly to achieve this milestone. We celebrate you all, and you continue to make us proud. Happy Labour Day to all workers,” he said.

He stressed that the organisation places a high premium on staff welfare, noting that its philosophy of team development has been instrumental to its success.
“Over the years, we have consistently explored better ways to improve the lives of our workers, which is fundamental to any business. For instance, we have provided free transportation for staff to and from their residential areas over the past four to five years,” he added.
Onafowokan further noted that the company’s achievements go beyond cable manufacturing, extending to staff wellbeing and corporate responsibility.
“Coleman is not only pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve in cable manufacturing, but also redefining what we can give back to our employees. Our success is not about one individual at the top, but about teamwork and a shared vision,” he said.
He assured that the company would continue to prioritise and enhance workers’ welfare.
Founded in 1975 in Lagos State before relocating to Ogun State, Coleman Technical Industries has grown steadily, with its workforce playing a central role in its development and achievements over the years.
