Residents of Igbide have lauded Delta State Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Emamusi Obiodeh, for executing community development projects, including renovation of a market and building of a school pavilion.

The projects, located in Owodokpokpo-Igbide, include the upgrade of a modern market and the building of a pavilion at Owodokpokpo Grammar School. Both were funded by the commissioner as part of his community support efforts.

Speaking during an inspection of the projects, Obiodeh said the initiative was aimed at improving the welfare of residents and contributing to grassroots development.

He noted that the renovated market would enhance commercial activities, particularly for small-scale traders, while the school pavilion would provide a conducive environment for academic and social engagements.

The commissioner expressed appreciation to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the opportunity to serve, saying the administration’s development-focused approach continued to motivate public office holders.

He advised residents to maintain peace and unity, stressing that a stable environment was necessary to attract further development to the community.

He called for continued support for the state government’s policies and programmes.

Community leaders and residents thanked the commissioner for undertaking the projects, noting that the market would boost economic activities, especially among women and traders, while the pavilion would support learning and extracurricular activities in the school.

Obiodeh assured the community of his continued commitment to attracting more development projects to the area.
