Sidel, provider of equipment and services solutions for packaging beverage, food, home and personal care products in PET, can, glass and other materials, has participated in the Agrofood exhibition to deepen its footprint in West Africa and enhance support for regional customers.

The exhibition, at Landmark Centre, Lagos, brought together technology providers, manufacturers, and key stakeholders across the agro-industrial value chain.

Sidel said its participation follows launch of its Lagos office in October, to serve as a regional hub for project management, engineering, after-sales services, and customer engagement.

The move was aimed at strengthening proximity to customers in Nigeria and neighbouring markets.

At the event, the firm highlighted how its local presence supported closer collaboration through technical servicing, field support, and improved operational efficiency for clients.

Dan Olivier, vice president of Equipment Sales, Middle East and Africa, said Nigerian and West African markets present significant growth opportunities for food and beverage producers, requiring a blend of advanced technology and responsive local support.

Sidel also showcased its latest innovation, EvoBLOW Laser, a PET bottle blowing technology designed to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and enable use of up to 100 per cent recycled PET in industrial production.

In addition, it presented packaging and processing solutions, including robotic and conventional pick-and-place systems, as well as wraparound technologies tailored to diverse production needs. Its affiliate, Synergy, featured cost-effective and scalable PET packaging solutions for low- to medium-speed applications.

The company noted that growing demand for modern processing and packaging solutions in Nigeria, driven by urbanisation and population growth, is increasing the need for flexible, efficient, and sustainable technologies.

Sidel added that its presence at Agrofood Nigeria 2026 underscores its commitment to supporting manufacturers with global expertise, backed by local engineering and after-sales capabilities, to improve performance and scale operations across West Africa.
