The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) has raised concern over the prolonged dispute involving WINHOMES Global Services Limited and diaspora investors affected by the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project.

In a statement signed by its Director-General, Chief Obinna Nwaka, FCAI, and Chairman of Renewed Hope Concern Citizens (RHCC), Hon. Tayo Tola Agbaje, the group said the matter has remained unresolved for over 24 months despite engagements with relevant authorities.

CYMS noted that the delay in resolving or compensation raises concerns about administrative efficiency and the need for timely and transparent dispute resolution mechanisms.

The group warned that unresolved investment-related disputes could affect investor confidence and Nigeria’s broader economic outlook, particularly in relation to foreign and diaspora investment inflows.

It called on the Federal Government to provide clarity on the approvals and procedures surrounding the project and ensure that due process was followed in all related actions.

CYMS also urged relevant oversight and anti-corruption agencies to conduct an independent review of the matter to establish facts and strengthen institutional accountability.

The organisation further appealed for constructive engagement among stakeholders to resolve the dispute and restore investor confidence, while emphasising the importance of safeguarding Nigeria’s investment climate and international reputation.

It reaffirmed its commitment to continued monitoring and advocacy until a fair and lawful resolution is achieved.

“We therefore urge Mr. President to intervene in this matter, as it extends beyond the Minister of Works, to clarify the authorization for the demolition, ensure proper procedures were followed, and guarantee fair and prompt compensation for all affected parties.

“Leadership must be demonstrated through decisive actions that uphold justice, protect investors, compassion, and reinforce the rule of law. Mr. President has performed well and deserves his flowers for a second term.

“We encourage the international community and Nigerians in the diaspora to remain engaged and vigilant, recognizing that issues of this nature have significant implications for global investment flows and Nigeria’s standing as a viable business destination. We appeal to the Association of Nigerian Diaspora Investors to stand still and discontinue their planned protest and World press conference scheduled to hold on 20th April 2026 at the White House, Washington DC, USA.”
