The Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (T.A.T), has performed the groundbreaking for the construction of two Primary Health Care centres within the council area.
The projects, sited at Ailegun, Iyana-Isheri (Bungalow Street) and Jakande (Morning Star axis), form part of the administration’s efforts to expand access to quality and affordable healthcare services for residents across the council.
Taiwo reaffirmed that healthcare remains a top priority of his administration, noting that the new facilities, designed to be fully solar-powered for 24-hour operation, will bring essential medical services closer to the people, reduce travel time in accessing care, and significantly enhance overall community well-being.
He emphasised that the initiative aligns with his administration’s broader commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that directly impact the lives of residents, particularly women, children, and the elderly who depend largely on primary healthcare services.

The council boss also assured residents that the projects would be executed in line with the highest standards and completed within record time, while urging community members to take ownership of the facilities and support their sustainability upon completion.
He later conducted a site inspection to assess ongoing projects across the LCDA.
Notable among these are the rehabilitation of the perimeter fence at Oke Afa Primary Schools 1 and 2, transforming the schools into safer and more secure learning environments; the reconstruction of Jakande Estate Market into a modern block of shops; the ongoing reconstruction of Double Star Dual Carriage Road with paving stones, closed drainage, and solar-powered streetlights; and the construction of drainage, road, and installation of solar streetlights at Ilufunmi Street. Also inspected were the ongoing construction works at Abuna Street, as well as the remarkable facelift and modernisation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Primary School, located next to Dauda Illo Street in Ilamoshe Ward.
