Ekiti South APC stakeholders endorse Adaramodu for 2027 Senate seat
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti South Senatorial District have endorsed Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu as the consensus candidate of the party for the 2027 senatorial election.

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti South Senatorial District have endorsed Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu as the consensus candidate of the party for the 2027 senatorial election.
The endorsement was contained in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the APC in Ekiti State, affirming Adaramodu as the preferred candidate of stakeholders across the district.
According to the letter, the decision followed “due consultations with stakeholders, leaders and members” of the party across wards, local governments and the senatorial district.
The stakeholders said the move was in line with the party’s directive encouraging consensus arrangements where possible.
They stated that the decision was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting held on April 13, 2026, at the senatorial office on Moshood Road in Ikere Ekiti, adding that the endorsement enjoyed “overwhelming support and without dissent.”
The letter read in part, “We hereby avail and affirm that Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu has emerged as the consensus candidate of our party for the position of Senator in the forthcoming senatorial election (2027).
“The choice of Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu reflects the will of the party members and the need for unity, stability and victory for APC in our district.”
The stakeholders consequently urged the State Working Committee of the party to take the necessary steps to formalise Adaramodu’s candidacy ahead of the election.
Signatories to the letter included the Ekiti South Senatorial Chairman, Akindele Olusola; the Woman Leader, Adesina Abiodun; the Youth Leader, Daramola Sikiru; the Publicity Secretary, Ajakaye Idowu Dayo; and the Secretary, Afuye Oluwaseun John.
Also endorsing the senator were APC officials from the six local government areas in the district, namely Idowu Isaac Dare (Ise/Orun), Gabriel Monday Omoniyi (Emure), Oyebode Kayode (Ikere), Olajide Falae (Ekiti South West), Akinyeye Adebayo (Gbonyin) and Clement Ojo (Ekiti East).
Political analysts believe the consensus endorsement may strengthen the APC’s early preparations for the 2027 elections in the district and reduce the likelihood of internal contest ahead of the party’s primary.
