Luis Enrique, head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, has reportedly blocked any move for Nigerian international Victor Osimhen during the upcoming summer transfer window, as reported by Fichajes. This decision comes despite the striker’s impressive form at Galatasaray this season.

Osimhen has scored 17 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions, with standout performances in the Champions League, where he netted seven times in eight games. His consistency has made him one of Europe’s most prolific young forwards.

Several leading clubs are interested in the striker, notably Bayern Munich, who are planning for the post-Harry Kane era. Vincent Kompany has reportedly backed a move to strengthen Bayern’s attack, with Osimhen’s speed, finishing, and aerial skills fitting their long-term ambitions.

Nonetheless, PSG appears to have ruled themselves out. Reports suggest that the €150 million transfer fee and €20 million annual salary make the deal financially unfeasible. Luis Enrique’s unwillingness to approve such a high-cost signing means the French club will not pursue Osimhen.

The situation illustrates how top clubs must weigh ambition against financial responsibility. While Osimhen is a highly sought-after striker, PSG is cautious about upsetting wage structures or committing to an expensive transfer.

For Osimhen, the priority remains strong performances at Galatasaray. His continued goal-scoring enhances his value and keeps him on the radar of Europe’s top teams, meaning a move to a major league, possibly with Bayern or another elite club, could still be on the horizon.
