The Ondo state House of Assembly forum, a body comprising former lawmakers, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday.

They described the president as a selfless leader whose policies continue to drive national development, noting that his life of public service stands as a compelling testament to visionary leadership and an unshakeable belief in the robust potential of Nigeria

In a statement signed by the coordinator, Otunba Olumide Araoyinbo, the former lawmaker—a farmer and the state House of Assembly's majority leader—said the president is a true Democrat whose love for the country is unparalleled.

According to the group, "The President’s Renewed Hope agenda continues to inspire confidence among stakeholders within and outside the country as it seeks to reposition Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth and prosperity."

They commended Tinubu’s bold reforms and unwavering determination to tackle long-standing structural challenges, emphasizing that true leadership often requires difficult but necessary decisions.

"President Tinubu's reforms have helped recalibrate the structures that hold our nation together. Though things may be difficult at the moment, the foundation for a stronger Nigeria is gradually being laid by the reforms."

The ex-lawmakers hailed President Tinubu’s leadership, describing it as visionary and transformative, particularly with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The ex-lawmakers reaffirmed their unalloyed support for the president's second-term agenda, expressing readiness to work for his success in the 2027 presidential election.

They expressed deep appreciation for the president's support and the numerous projects the administration is executing across the state.

"The entire people of Ondo State remain grateful to the president for all the projects being executed across the state by the administration. We are thankful for the ongoing works on the Akure-Benin road, Ondo-Ore road, and many more.

"Perhaps more importantly, we are eternally grateful to Mr. President for the appointments of our sons into high offices in his cabinet. His fatherly role has no doubt helped in shaping the lives of several young Nigerians. As you continue to steer the ship of our dear nation, we pray that Almighty God continues to grant you the wisdom to lead Nigeria and its people."
