The Federal Government has introduced a new digital platform aimed at strengthening communication between policymakers and entrepreneurs, in a move to create a more responsive and business-friendly environment across the country.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu unveiled the Renewed Hope Enterprise Bridge Initiative on Thursday at the State House Conference in Abuja, describing it as a structured channel for continuous engagement between government and the private sector.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the President said there has long been a gap between policy formulation and the realities faced by business owners. “One side works with frameworks and projections, the other works with immediacy and risk. Bringing both into the same room is not symbolic; it is necessary,” he said.

Tinubu explained that for policies to deliver real results, they must reflect the everyday experiences of entrepreneurs operating in Nigeria’s challenging business environment. “If a policy is to be useful, it must be informed by lived experience. And if an enterprise is to thrive, it must be supported by a system that understands it,” he added.
He said the new platform would act as a feedback mechanism, allowing entrepreneurs to share their challenges, ideas, and recommendations directly with government, with the aim of improving how policies are designed and implemented.
In her remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship Development, Chalya Shagaya, said the initiative reflects the administration’s plan to place entrepreneurs at the centre of economic growth.
She noted that ongoing reforms are already targeting key challenges faced by businesses, including regulatory bottlenecks and limited access to finance through major government institutions. “If we are to achieve a trillion-dollar economy, then entrepreneurs must be at the centre of the conversation consistently, deliberately and meaningfully,” she said.
Shagaya added that the initiative signals a shift towards a more open and collaborative style of governance, where engagement with the private sector will be continuous rather than occasional.

Also speaking, the Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, said the creative and digital sectors hold strong potential to drive economic expansion and attract foreign investment.
According to her, these sectors provide high-return opportunities for entrepreneurs and are central to Nigeria’s efforts to diversify its economy.
The event, themed “Hustle Meets Policy,” brought together government officials, business owners and other stakeholders to discuss how public policies can better reflect the realities of doing business in Nigeria.
Participants stressed the importance of sustained collaboration, transparency and data-driven decision-making in improving the business environment and unlocking growth.
The Federal Government said the initiative forms part of its broader Renewed Hope Agenda, which is focused on strengthening the economy, supporting entrepreneurs and building a more inclusive and resilient business landscape across the country.
