A Lagos-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Abiodun Olayinka Life Foundation, has organised a prayer session in honour of President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

The event was sponsored by the foundation's founder, Abiodun Olayinka.

In a statement made available by the founder’s media aide, Idris Bamgboye, the session, themed “Seeking Divine Guidance for a Sustainable and Progressive Leadership,” brought together both Muslim and Christian leaders.

Speaking at the event, the clerics prayed that these leaders would lead with wisdom, courage, and ideas resulting in peace, unity, progress, and religious tolerance.

Among the clerics present at the event were: Chairman, Orile-Agege Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Special Apostle Prophet Joseph Olubode; Chief Imam of Orile Agege Central Mosque, Sheik Alh Nurudeen Ayinde Abolore Malowo, and other CAN members and Imams.

The religious scholars raised their voices in prayer, seeking divine wisdom, knowledge, sound health, and guidance for Bola Tinubu to lead Nigeria to a promised land. They also prayed for Mudashiru Obasa to receive his next political assignment and for God to grant his desires.

Some community leaders and political stakeholders in attendance reaffirmed their dedication to supporting the president, the speaker, and other candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Also speaking, Orile-Agege LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon Idowu Akinola, appreciated the man behind the initiative, urging party members to go beyond campaigning and ensure their constituents are eligible to vote.

He emphasised educating and mobilising their supporters to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).

Akinola concluded that failing to register will result in a political setback, as it is the only tool to win an election, not campaigning.
