Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) yesterday morning extracted two persons who were trapped overnight in a wreckage of two trucks that locked into each other after a collision. The two persons were also taken to Victory Hospital in Ogere for treatment.

The accident, which occurred around 10:17 p.m. on Monday, involved two heavy-duty trucks near Foursquare Camp in Ogunmakin, Ogun State corridor of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, also created a huge traffic gridlock.

Superintendent Route Commander and spokesperson, FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, Odunsi Afolabi, in a statement said that preliminary findings showed that the crash was caused by excessive speed and loss of control.

Afolabi said further that seven adult males were involved in the accident, with five sustaining injuries.
