Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat has urged youths to turn the challenges that surround them to opportunities.

He said this yesterday in his keynote address at a one day Leadership Seminar and Alumni Launch, as part of activities of 2025/2026 Ibile Youth Academy, organised by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, at Adeyeml Bero Auditorium.

Speaking on the theme: ‘From Potential to Power: Equipping Youth for Leadership in a Smart City’, Dr Hamzat said Nigeria is a country blessed with human and natural resources, whose citizens are contributing to the progress of countries across the world.

Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, said the programme was a strategic consolidation of leadership, mentorship and continuity, adding that the ministry was strengthening the bridge between the past participants and the next generation of leaders through the Alumni Network.
