Hashim paid a solidarity visit to Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, as part of moves to consolidate unity ahead of future electoral contests.
The meeting, held in Bauchi, was attended by Senator Zainab Kure, widow of former Niger State Governor, the late Abdulkadir Kure.

Discussions focused on reinforcing internal harmony within the PDP amid ongoing political pressures nationwide.
Hashim commended Governor Mohammed for what he described as his commitment to multiparty democracy and steadfast adherence to party principles.
He emphasised the need for reconciliation and collective resolve among party leaders, maintaining that a united PDP is essential to rebuilding public trust and repositioning the party for upcoming elections.

“Our unity is our strength. We must close ranks, rebuild trust and present a cohesive front capable of delivering credible leadership to Nigerians,” Hashim said.

The engagement later expanded to include the PDP Deputy National Chairman, the Bauchi State PDP Chairman and key aides of the governor.
The meeting ended with a symbolic group photograph, underscoring a shared commitment to party stability and progress.
In a related development, Hashim on Wednesday met with PDP chairmanship candidates ahead of the February 21 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections.
The strategic session brought together the state chairman, secretary, members of the Board of Trustees and incumbent area council chairmen.
Deliberations focused on strengthening grassroots structures, promoting transparency and enforcing discipline in party activities to boost electoral prospects.
“The upcoming FCT Area Council elections will test our organisational capacity and readiness. We must remain focused, disciplined and united in our pursuit of service to the people,” Hashim added, reiterating his commitment to reconciliation and capacity building across the party.
