Reality TV star Phyna has said she has no desire to have biological children, stating a preference for raising pets instead.

The former Big Brother Naija winner disclosed this in a video, explaining that her stance is influenced by her personal experiences and perspective on relationships.

“I’m very fertile, but I don’t have any desire to have a biological child. I just wanna be a cat and dog mum,” she said.

Phyna noted that many women tend to form stronger emotional bonds with pets as they enter their 30s, particularly after going through multiple failed relationships.

According to her, repeated heartbreaks can shape how women perceive love and commitment, prompting them to seek peace and fulfilment through alternative forms of companionship.

She added that she believes she is currently at a stage in her life where companionship with animals offers the comfort she desires.

“I think the love for animals in women kicks in when we’re approaching our 30s, some of them in their mid-30s, late 30s, especially when you don’t see yourself settling down. Maybe you’ve been in too many broken relationships, you’ve gone through too many heartbreaks, I don’t know.

"So women tend to start developing a likeness for pets like that, and I think I’m in that stage. I think I’m in that stage right now,” she added.
