Heirs Insurance Group and United Capital Plc have partnered to promote financial literacy and wellness among Nigerian women through a specialised engagement held in Lagos.

The initiative, tagged ‘Yoga and Money Meet Up’, brought together women professionals for a blend of wellness sessions and financial education, with a focus on investment, insurance, and asset protection.

Organisers said the event reflects a growing effort to integrate financial planning into broader lifestyle and wellness conversations, particularly for women balancing careers, businesses, and family responsibilities.

Speaking at the event, Chief Marketing Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, Ifesinachi Okoli-Okpagu, underscored the link between personal well-being and financial security.

She noted that self-care goes beyond indulgence, describing it as making deliberate choices that protect physical, mental, and financial health, while emphasising the critical role of insurance. According to her, the initiative addresses a key concern for many women—how to safeguard assets while managing multiple responsibilities.

As part of the programme, the company unveiled ‘HerMotor’, an insurance product designed for female car owners. The offering provides coverage against accidents, fire, theft, and other risks, alongside 24/7 emergency roadside support through a partnership with AA Rescue.

The plan also includes access to lifestyle and wellness discounts.

On her part, Managing Director of United Capital Asset Management, Dr. Odiri Oginni, said the collaboration aligns with efforts to deepen women’s financial inclusion.

“Empowerment is at the core of what we do, and co-creating on an initiative that directly addresses the financial realities facing Nigerian women further emphasises this.

We recognise that financial independence and personal wellness are deeply interconnected, and by creating opportunities that bring both together, we are reinforcing our commitment to empowering women to confidently pursue and achieve their dreams.

This vision informed the creation of our Wealth for Women Fund, which provides women with a secure and accessible avenue to invest smartly and build long-term financial security,” she said.
