International Energy Insurance (IEI) Plc has taken its insurance awareness drive directly to the people with a vibrant Market Storm activation at Tejuosho Market, one of Lagos’ busiest commercial hubs.

The outreach forms part of the company’s February engagement activities themed “Love in Insurance.”

The initiative is designed to simplify insurance for everyday Nigerians and show how it fits into their daily lives and businesses.

During the activation, IEI representatives engaged traders, artisans, and shoppers in practical conversations about risk, protection, and the role insurance can play in helping families and businesses stay secure when unexpected events occur.

For many small business owners, insurance often feels distant or complicated. IEI’s Market Storm approach focuses on face-to-face conversations that break down barriers. The team explained accessible products such as Personal Accident cover and SME insurance while answering questions directly from market participants.

Speaking during the activation, representatives from the IEI marketing team noted that insurance is ultimately about care and responsibility.

“At its core, insurance is a form of love. It is about protecting your business, your income and the people who depend on you. That is why we are taking the message directly to everyday Nigerians.”

The Tejuosho outreach reflects IEI’s broader commitment to expanding insurance awareness across Nigeria.

By engaging people in familiar environments like markets and community spaces, the company aims to build stronger understanding and trust in the industry.

The activation also comes at a time when the Nigerian insurance sector is evolving and companies are strengthening their capacity to underwrite larger risks and settle claims efficiently. IEI says these developments make public education even more important.

As the company continues its recapitalisation journey, it remains focused on a clear mission: making insurance accessible to more Nigerians and ensuring that protection is not seen as a luxury but as an essential part of everyday life.

Following the success of the Tejuosho Market activation, IEI plans to continue similar engagements in other markets and commercial centres across the country in the coming months.

International Energy Insurance Plc is a leading Nigerian insurance company providing a range of risk protection solutions for individuals, families and businesses across the country. The company remains committed to innovation, financial strength and expanding access to insurance for more Nigerians.
