‘I’ll surpass my State Assembly’s achievements in N/Assembly’
Anambra State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Chuma Okoye has promised to expand his impact and deliver more democratic dividends to his constituents if elected to represent Awka North

Anambra State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Chuma Okoye has promised to expand his impact and deliver more democratic dividends to his constituents if elected to represent Awka North and South Federal Constituency.
Okoye, who is aspiring for the seat in All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), made the promise during an interactive session in Awka with a political support group, Anambra Patriots.
Presenting his scorecard as the lawmaker representing Awka South II Constituency in the House of Assembly, Okoye challenged other aspirants to a public debate on what they were capable of offering.
“I ventured into politics to positively impact more lives. I’ll not only replicate my good work at the State Assembly, I will even do more with constituency funds from the Federal Government.
“With my antecedents, I stand better chance of securing better positions at the federal level. I’m sure with your support in the forthcoming elections, I’ll make it,” he said.
Chairman of Anambra Patriots, Chief Damian Enekwechi, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to promoting credible and accountable leadership ahead of the 2027 general election.

He said the group’s focus remained ensuring only candidates with proven competence and integrity received people’s support.
He assured citizens of continued provision of formidable platform for constructive engagement between political aspirants and the people.
He said: “We’re not conventional support group with one agenda and no commitment to a person’s electoral success. Our target is to ensure only candidates with proven competence and integrity enjoy the backing of the people.
“While we remain open to all aspirants, our ultimate support will be determined by capacity, track record, credibility and overall interest of the people.”
Convener of the group, Okey Ezeobi, an architect, restated the group’s commitment to engaging and supporting individuals dedicated to the development of the state.
