Renowned Nigerian dance icon Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, alongside cultural figure Yeye Falashade Shona and other notable personalities, is set to headline a “Power of Collaboration” forum organised by the GAH Elite Club in celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026.
The event, scheduled for April 11, 2026, will be held at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, and is designed to highlight the importance of unity, creativity, and shared purpose among women across diverse sectors.
In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its Media Consultant, Bolatito Adebola, GAH Elite Club Founder Princess Oghene described the initiative as a platform aimed at deepening global conversations around women’s empowerment while delivering measurable outcomes.
She characterised the 2026 edition as “a strategic convergence of influence, leadership, and transformation,” noting that the forum is structured to move beyond symbolic celebration toward actionable engagement.
“We are moving beyond celebration into structure; beyond conversations into execution. This is where women stop showing up randomly and start showing up strategically,” Oghene said.
According to her, the theme reflects a deliberate shift toward intentional alliances among women, marking what she termed a critical evolution in the approach to International Women’s Day within the GAH ecosystem—from awareness to action, and from presence to positioning.
Oghene further explained that the framework for IWD 2026 is designed to address a persistent gap in structured collaboration among high-impact women. She said the programme will focus on key areas such as strategic positioning and visibility, cross-industry partnerships, enterprise growth and wealth creation, leadership influence, policy engagement, and media positioning.
“This is not an attendance-driven event; it is an outcome-driven platform with a curated convening influence, showcasing the measurable impact of women in society,” she added.
The forum will feature keynote addresses and panel discussions from female leaders across education, finance, media, and enterprise. Expected speakers include Ambassador Dr. Kirti Sudhanshu, Dr. Carolyna Hutchings, media personality Anita Natacha (Symply Tacha), Executive Strategist Abiola Adelana, entrepreneur Delphine Okoronkwo, Seyi Amao, Esohe Igbinobia, and Adaeze Chioma Ahubarezeama.
Oghene noted that the speakers were selected based on proven track records in leadership, resilience, and execution, adding that the gathering will bring together corporate executives, entrepreneurs, global professionals, and media leaders.
International Women’s Day, observed globally on March 8, celebrates women’s achievements and advocates gender equality. Although the Lagos forum is scheduled weeks after the official date, organisers said it aligns with the broader objectives of the global movement.
Stakeholders, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs are expected to attend, underscoring the GAH Elite Club’s commitment to advancing leadership development and empowering women through structured collaboration.
