“I want to, on behalf of the Organizing Committee & the Management of Sportsville, thank most sincerely the Chairman of the Brila Group for this honour.

“We are looking forward to a thrilling ceremony come March 28th in Lagos.”

Dr. Izamoje, a 2020 award recipient himself, praised the event’s growth over the last five years. He noted his "positive and memorable impressions" of past editions and commended founder Frank Ilaboya for his contribution to the Nigerian sports landscape.

This year’s Sportsville Special Recognition Award is the 6th following its debut  in 2020 in Lagos.

Meanwhile, the organizers will be unveiling the nominees for this year’s award on Tuesday, March 10th, in a world press conference scheduled for Lagos.
