The exercise,, which took place at the College of Animal Science, was designed to acquaint the new staff members with their duties, and conduct.
The Officer of the College, Mr. N. O. Juluku, described registry staff members as the custodians of administration in the university, noting that their actions and decisions reflect the image of the Office of the Registrar.

Juluku highlighted the core responsibilities of registry staff to include “minute-taking,” “record-keeping”, and strict adherence to approved administrative procedures. He stressed the importance of corporate dressing, punctuality, respect for hierarchy, and compliance with the university’s dress code and official working hours. He further cautioned staff members, who might handle funds to uphold the highest standards of integrity, warning against any form of financial misconduct.

He explained that the College of Animal Science comprises three departments, with operational units such as piggery, rabbitry, poultry, sheep and goat pen as well as cattle sections, where administrative staff members might be posted. According to him, each department has both administrative and executive staff, while disputes within the university are handled through the established Disciplinary Committee.
Earlier, the Dean of the College of Animal Science, Prof. T. Ahemen, welcomed the new recruits to the University community and urged them to take their duties seriously.
He expressed appreciation to the vice-chancellor for the opportunity given to the new staff members to serve the institution, adding that he would be pleased to have some of them posted to the college.
The programme featured an interactive session and a guided tour of relevant sections within the College, providing participants with practical exposure to administrative operations. The exercise concluded with words of encouragement, urging the new registry staff to remain committed to discipline, professionalism, and efficient service delivery.
