After four weeks of making waves in cinemas across Nigeria, Judith Audu Production’s music drama, ‘Evi’, is set to make history as it takes the cinema experience to the students' doorsteps.

For the first time ever, ‘Evi’, alongside three other films, will be touring campus cinemas in selected campuses.

This is brought to life by Campus Cinemas Distribution, and it will begin from May 1, 2026, to May 31, 2026, for its first batch, screening four films, including ‘EVI’,  ‘Keleke’, ‘Love and Guilt’, as well as ‘Wedding in Nigeria’.

Produced by Judith Audu, and directed & written by Uyoyou Adia, ‘Evi’ stars Osas Okonyon, Uzor Arukwe, Omowunmi Dada, WAJE, Ibrahim Suleiman, Michael Ejoor, Tomiwa Tegbe, and others.

According to Judith, taking cinema to campuses is a win for the Nigerian movie industry as it is about meeting young audiences where they are and reminding them that film is not just content on a phone, but an experience that deserves to be shared, felt, and celebrated together.

“For me, this campus tour is bigger than just screening ‘Evi’; it’s about rebuilding a cinema culture among students and creating a new generation that values storytelling on the big screen. Many students don’t always have easy access to cinemas, so bringing these films directly to them is our way of making cinema more inclusive and accessible.

“Campus cinemas create community. When students sit together, laugh together, and feel a story together, it strengthens their connection to film in a way streaming never can,” she said.

She further noted that Campus Cinemas is kicking off with a heavily subsidised fee.

The selected schools the movie will be touring include IMT, UNEC and ESUT in Enugu State, UNIZIK, and COOU (Igbariam) in Anambra State, Ebonyi Federal University, and AE-FUNAI in Ebonyi State, as well as Alvan Ikoku University in Imo State.
